Civic non-profit organization „Association of Agrarian and Environmental Lawyers“, whose members are also employees of the Department of Law at FESRD SUA, was successful and its international project “Effectiveness of Implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy in Slovakia” was selected for funding. The project, co-financed by the European Union, will focus on interdisciplinary research into the effectiveness of the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy.

The specific objective of the project is to discuss and advise local, regional and national policy makers on the various aspects of implementation, to ensure the transfer of research results and expertise in practice and to disseminate project outputs to selected target groups. The Association closely cooperates on the project with SUA, in particular the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development, the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. The expected project outcomes in particular are:

  • the strengthening of research activities related to the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy in Slovakia,
  • improved implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy by stakeholders (farmers, food processors and professional groups) and potential stakeholders (students, graduates)
  • improved agricultural policy at local, regional and national level,
  • raising awareness among different target groups about the importance of agriculture and its good governance in the EU
  • raising the profile of the association in an international professional environment

Workshops, round tables and conferences will be organized as part of the project. Learn more at http://cape.uniag.sk/en
